Assassin's Creed : Revelations trailer re-sound
This first demo I ever released to the public is a sound work with the Assassin's Creed : Revelations E3 2011 trailer. Originally, the video has only one sound track (except for the last seconds) : the song "Iron" by Woodkid.
I wanted to have the opportunity to think about how to magnify the events in this video, firstly by using the different opportunities to create natural sounds, and secondly by choosing another powerful song that will have a significance with the trailer, in this case "My body is a Cage" by Peter Gabriel. The main hero, Ezio, has been in the past games of the series a strong and young member of the Assassins organisation, but in this episode is beginning to sense the years' weight and is asking himself if he has lived and made sacrifices all these years in the right way. His quest for answers will lead him to the old stronghold of the twelfth century's Assassins, in western Syria. But the place is not as peaceful as planned…
All the sounds effects and foley in this video are my creations (except for the outdoor ambiances, sadly), through recording and modifying. Editing and mixing is mainly focalized on Ezio's effort and giving the power from the song its place in the sound field.
